Birthday Gift

Plien-Air artist Ferial Nassirzadeh finishing another painting which is a gift for a friend on her birthday. A surprise party is planned for the event.

Laguna Beach Is . . .

When you say you live in Laguna Beach what kind of responce do you get? Lucky you is the most common one we hear. Then they mention the great beaches and the art festivals we have here.

We bring this up because there is an organization that promotes A Photo A Day and they also have a monthly photo theme. This month's theme is When People Think of My City They Think of . . . We're not members but very much support the idea. So this is our contribution - unofficial as it is.

I bet you thought it would be some bikini babe. Right? Well it would have been if any had been in shooting distance. Just moms and kids.

Plien Air Artist Armand Cabrera At Work

He recently moved from northern California to a small town just west of Washington D.C.

He told Laguna Beat that the Laguna Beach Plien Air event is the oldest and the most repected of a growing list of Plien Air competitions.

Unfortuntely the rain came near the end of the 2-hour limit and Laguna Beat's camera lens misted up and couldn't get a completed painting photo and no fault to Armand he just wanted to get the painting in it's frame and put back in the box before it to was wet.

We will let you know how he did at the auction.

17 October 2007: The painting sold for $1250.00 which is slightly below my retail. The couple who bought it were very nice and glad to get a bargain.
