Picnic Beach is ready for the 4th of July picnicers.
Rebuilt access ramp to the beach at Picnic Beach. Can you find the section of fake cliff?
The only remaining work at Heisler Park is the access ramp to Rockpile Beach.
Even the wedding photographers are back.
Access to Picnic Beach will get a lot easier tomorrow with the opening of Picnic Beach Park and the access ramp to the beach. At the bottom of the ramp is a new shower.
Formal ceremony will be at noon.
On July 1, at 12:00 noon the city council will be rededicating Heisler Park for public use. The festivities will commence at Picnic Beach on the north end of the park. While most of the park will be reopened at this time, the stairs leading down to Rockpile Beach will not be completed until about July 12. Some areas of the park will be blocked off to protect the new landscaping during the Fourth of July.

Still under construction is the new access ramp to Rockpile Beach. Heavy rains this winter, with accompanying mud, delayed this ramp's construction.
That sky-hook is back. It's the only way to get debris up from the beach.

Went to Diver's Cover to get a few late evening photos of the cliff that divides Diver's Cove from Picnic Beach. I didn't need a gaggle of photographers in the pictures. See what happens when you have plently of parking!
Artists can remove, delete, modify whatever there is about a scene that they find distracting while we photographers have no choice but to capture what's in the viewfinder. . . . Photoshop anyone?
