John, John, John Of Laguna, Watch Out For That Wave!
This looks like a nice sequence. Let us get up on the rock and photograph the wave crashing on the beach.
Oh boy right up on the rocks. Great!
Did I say great? Here's what the next photo in the sequence looks like from a distance.

Two Many Photographers
Went to Diver's Cover to get a few late evening photos of the cliff that divides Diver's Cove from Picnic Beach. I didn't need a gaggle of photographers in the pictures. See what happens when you have plently of parking!

Artists Have All The Fun
Artists can remove, delete, modify whatever there is about a scene that they find distracting while we photographers have no choice but to capture what's in the viewfinder. . . . Photoshop anyone?

Condo-On-The-Rocks
The beach scene in the previous posting was taken from below the rocks at the far left of the top photo. Add another 30 feet and that is were this photographer was standing. And it wasn't 50 feet up in the air but only 3 feet above the water. The bottom photo is the other side of the Condo-On-The-Rocks and faces the Pacific. I think the building is shaped like a triangle and the third side faces Fisherman's Cove.
Here's another view of the Condo-On-The-Rocks taken from above Fisherman's Cove. From this view you can see it has a forth side. Three sides have really good views but the forth view sucks. Maybe that's the servant quarters.
We don't do this as a practice but there is a very funny site that features really bad real estate photos. As a photographer I have heard for 50 years that anybody can take photos. Well the photos posted at this site attest to the fact that anybody CAN'T take photos. So go to Bad MLS Photo of the Day and have a really good laugh. This site was one of several that was in the Sunday LA Times Real Estate section in an article about real estate blogs.
I have only one request of all you so-called-photographers that take real estate photos. If you have views of the ocean would you please get the horizon LEVEL. We get sea sick looking at all the crooked oceans in the For Sale sections of the local papers.
