search·ing: examining carefully or thoroughly: a searching inspection.To be honest I'm not sure either describes what people are doing down at our tide pools.
Be careful and follow these rules.
Never remove animals, shells or rocks from tide pools.Tides:
Never pick up animals...observe them where they are.
Don’t pull animals off the rocks, or poke them with sticks.
Walk gently, taking care not to step on plants or animals.
Never turn over rocks.
