Six People, Zero Dogs. How Can That Be?

Laguna Beach: Six People, Zero DogsThis brings up something I would like to experience. That is a DOG FREE day at Main Beach and Heisler Park. Just one-day-a-week. PLEASE. Can you manage that MR City? Or do I have to file a DOG Noise Complaint?

  1. Hm. I don't think the city gives a hoot or a holler about your complaint.
As a dog owner I love to walk my dog, on leash, at the beach when it is wintertime. There are restrictions during the summer, or, have you forgotten?

It is amazing how many people don't bother to pick up their dog's poop. Even in places where dogs are not allowed like Riddle field or bluebird park, people feel entitled to let their dogs poop without picking it up. I once took photos of a guy holding his dog's leash while it took a dump and when I presented it to the police dept., I was told an officer would have to actually witness the event before any legal action could take place. Perhaps if you posted photos of such people, like you do when people park bad, it would deter such behavior. I have also been attacked 3 times by dogs not on leashes, only to be told by the owners that their dog doesn't bite. I have 4 rescue dogs and follow the laws and always pick up after them. What's wrong with some people?!!
