
The above photo was taken on the morning of December 14, 2012. Once I got a good look at the photo on the computer screen I knew I had to get down close. Maybe the same place where the two observers are standing. So on the morning of December 15, 2012 I went down to the Heisler tide pools and started taking photos.
The first photo below was taken from above over-looking the tide pools.
As you can see I wasn't the only one enjoying the morning high tide.
The remainder were taken while standing a little too close to the break. Pants wet but the camera is just fine.




Because the sea was much calmer the surf breaks were less dramatic than if I risked doing the same thing on December 14, 2012.
