Dedication Of Newest Art In Public Places

Laguna Beach: Art In The ParkFrom left: Mark Porterfield, art patron who funded the Heisler poem competition and several other public art pieces in town including the 9/11 memorial, the poet Shelly Cooper, and sculptures Naomi and Scott Schoenherr.

The newest Art In Public Places was dedicated Friday afternoon at Rockpile Beach in Heisler Park. The installations by Scott and Naomi Schoenherr comprised of three elements, the sculpture, seating and inset sidewalk installations are created of handmade ceramics, stainless steel and rock which were inspired by the poem “Giggle Crack” which was written by Shelley Cooper.
