Laguna College Hosts Art Sale For Japan

Laguna College of Art & Design is organizing an art sale to benefit the American Red Cross' Japanese Disaster Relief Fund.

On Sunday,May 3, 2011, 200 small canvases will be for sale at the college at 2222 Laguna Canyon Road. The works, created by LCAD artists of different backgrounds, will cost $30-70, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the fund.

The sale takes place at 6:30 p.m., after the Best of the Best student art awards reception at 5 p.m.

But Will It Get Built?

Lifeguard HQ and Public Restrooms Reconstruction: The California Coastal Commission has notified the City that the appeal period for the Coastal Development Permit for the Lifeguard Headquarters and Public Restroom project expired on March 24, 2011. The permit is now final.

Expect Crowds This Weekend - At The Beach

They come for the beach and the views Heisler Park offers. Most, if not all, can't afford to cross the street except maybe to park. 

Today is April Fools day. The joke is on us for thinking that those who run this city could get the Boardwalk repaired in a timely manner.
