Bluebird Pump Station Upgrades Years In The Making

Laguna Beach: Beach SceneOne little upgrade at a time. Here's another at the Bluebird Lift Station:

The City's largest waste water pumping facility was upgraded yesterday. A great deal of construction activity concluded late Wednesday evening at the station located at the Glenneyre dip. The station was fitted with a new automated transfer switch. The new device replaces an obsolete mechanism that serves to automatically switch between Edison grid power and the station's emergency generator. The upgrade will provide more capabilities for powering the station to accommodate generator maintenance and greatly improve reliability.
