Don't Fence Me In
It's easy to spot someone and their vehicle parked incorrectly. It happens everyday. That's because people drive vehicles that fit their ego not their needs.
We have a case of the legal-scavenger from Texas who was given a ticket for not parking within the lines as with the example vehicle shown in this post.
He claims that this Mickey Mouse of a city gave him a $40 ticket for not parking within the borders of his parking spot. He said he was: "A little over the inside line of the parking space."
He's appealing the ticket.
Questions for Mr Brant Mittler of San Antonio, Texas:
1. Do you have a photo showing that you where only a LITTLE bit over the line?
2. What kind of vehicle were you driving while in Laguna Beach?
It's best that you, Mr Mittler, remember that, like brains in Texas, finding a good parking space in Laguna isn't easy.
PS: Mickey Mouse is a much revered character in this part of the country. You may not like him but you could at least show some good manners.
Here's the story in the Pilot.
I find it interesting that the Coastline Pilot story has him quoted as saying that he was parked with his vehicles "tires touching the inner line of the parking spot".
ReplyDeleteYet, it is later stated by the paper that "He also called this newspaper to vent and perhaps get some ink about the plight of the unwary tourist in Laguna who doesn't realize that being slightly over the line of a parking spot can cost you in this town."
Which one is it? I'd venture to say that he was over the line! As you stated John, why is there no picture? Most anyone's cell phone can take a picture. A picture would have most likely shown him over the line, with no leg to stand on.
So instead, he tries to act like a BIG-SHOT from the Lone Star State, that's an attorney/cardiologist(omg!), with a "don't mess with Texas" attitude! Then going on to state that Laguna is not tourist friendly, and now, he won't patronize this town anymore and wants the City to see he's warning everyone!.....I say BIG DEAL! And good RIDDANCE!
You're guilty!...Now pay your stupid ticket!
