Whatever Happened To The Ban On Plastic Bags?

Laguna Beach: Walking The BoardwalkI use plastic. You use plastic. Plastic is everywhere. Check the beach, any beach, after a storm. The beach has plastic.

But what about plastic bags? I thought they were going the way of the honest politician. Not yet. I still have a choice at the store: "Plastic or paper sir?" I love that Sir part. If it was just paper would I ever be addressed as SIR again? Probably not.

Let's keep plastic. I like choice.

Oh I forgot: "License and registration Sir." That will never go away.

  1. I think a community, state or even country could ban the use of plastic bags, but I believe globally tons and tons of trash are still being dumped off of ships far out at sea, only to end up on everyone's shores. This happens regardless of a international ban on dumping trash at sea.

BTW, I think I'm only addressed as "sir" when asked the "paper or plastic" question.
