Possible Tsunami Wave After Noon Today - Updated

Laguna Beach: Big WaveThe 8.8 earthquake in Chile has produced a tsunam wave that could, and I repeat could, hit Laguna Beach after noon today. With our south facing beaches we have a higher chance of the tsunami wave hitting us.

We should know more later in the morning as the tsunami wave moves out across the Pacific.

Update: Here is the a really good graphic of how the tsunami wave will go out across the Pacific.

A magnitude of 8.8 is a massive shake. Lets hope it doesn't it anyone's shores. Laguna's cliffs are 70ft and less, mostly less. Many of Hawaii's Tsunami's were well in excess of 35 ft.
