We Have Access Laguna
From the City Manager's weekly report:
Bluebird SOCWA Lift Station Rehab Project – The work on Glenneyre over the weekend was partially successful. However, the contractor has made a mistake pouring the concrete pads that are essential to protect two of the newly installed underground structures. The pads are too high to properly match to the driving surface. The project engineer is working on a solution to minimize the effort to correct the problem. In the meantime, the contractor is being directed to create a clear path for two-lane traffic past the project. The corrective work will likely mean that there will be another temporary closure when the corrective work is prescribed. Concurrently, the contractor is testing the bypassing pumping system that will be used when the station is taken out of service for the structural rehab work. Once fully tested, the bypass system will be put into full operation next week and will be running for up to eight weeks. During that time, the nearly thirty-year old station will have a thorough renovation along with several significant improvements.
