Superb, comment/description apropos of this monstrosity, this abomination. When built it blocked innumerable views for residents, is a hovering Tower of Babel for beach-going locals. Tourists, the kind who go to Puerto Vallarta, Cancun or Acapulco might find it attractive, but it is a visual blight, a sonnet to brute ugliness. This shot is almost Fellini-esque, that is a surreal film. It is Kafka-esque in that it's a lot like the Edvard Munch painting "The Scream": A living, waking nightmare we haven't woken up from, that hopefully the Big One (earthquake) will reduce to rubble with no fatalities except the corporate heathens that pushed the paper and the public officials who approved it. Engineers may have got fat, but Laguna lost its cherry when this was finished. Out damned spot!
